Calci
Very old village, outside Pisa

Calci is a village 9 km east of Pisa.  Calci is at the bottom of the green valley Val Grasziosa where they mainly grow olives.  The valley leads up to Monte Pisano, well known for it's large recreational areas.  The written history of Calci goes back to year 780.

In Calci you will find most of what you need of stores, places to eat, and other services.  Well connected to Pisa by bus 7 days a week.  Half an hour's drive to the ocean.
In Calci you will find the large Certosa di Pisa (Wikipedia here).   There are festivals all years around.

In Calci you can either stay in the apartment of Antonella called Casa Mimosa or in a house with a splendid view called Casa Laura. In the village Castelmaggiore, about 1 km away, you can have a room at the B&B Casa Martini where there is a swimming pool and further uphill a small apartment Santa Lucia or room at the 'agriturismo' La Fellonica.

Barely 2 km from Calci you find the medieval village Montemagno,  where we offer several places to stay.
